University of Georgia Master's Practicum Portfolio

Empowering Teachers and Parents of Minority and EL Students to Recognize and Support Giftedness in Their High-Potential Students: This project involved creating learning modules and community engagement materials to address the underidentification crisis in gifted education that impacts culturally and linguistically diverse students. The artifacts for this project support the teacher and parent education components of the practicum projects, including virtual learning modules, parent engagement sessions, hands-on activities, parent resources, and more. All materials were built with the intention of being used by any teacher, school, or district seeking to improve equitable representation and equitable access in their gifted and talented programs.
