The Learning Mind
Equity, curiosity, and creativity at the heart of lifelong learning.
PHILOSOPHY
Equity & Curiosity
My approach to education is rooted in the belief that equity, curiosity, and creativity are the foundation of transformative learning. By fostering an environment where every mind is empowered to explore, we cultivate the skills necessary for lifelong growth and intellectual discovery. In education, all stakeholders are essential pieces of a puzzle, which, when placed together, create a cohesive and supportive learning community where every student can thrive, grow, and reach their full potential. After all, “The child is both a hope and a promise for mankind.” (Maria Montessori. 1949)

Do field trips, summer camps, visiting authors, music, PE, and art classes improve academic outcomes and build lifelong learners? Of course! But how and why are enrichment opportunities so critical to our students? How do socioeconomic factors impact these opportunities?
